What are the different options used for non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation?

At Bedford Skin clinic, we use the following methods for vaginal rejuvenation:

• Vaginal rejuvenation with dermal filler injection: We use hyaluronic acid dermal filler, Desirial, for vaginal rejuvenation. Desirial has been specifically developed for use in the vulvo-vaginal area. It is also marketed as ‘’labial puff’’or non-surgical labioplasty. Desirial is injected into labia majora, the outermost folds or lips surrounding the vagina, to restore the lost volume and hide the labia minora giving the vaginal area more symmetrical appearance and improve dryness. Desirial can also be injected into most widely talked about is the “G Shot” designed to enhance sexual pleasure, stimulation and orgasm. We perform this treatment with a cannula after numbing the area with a local anesthetic gel and injection.
• Vaginal rejuvenation with Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP): We use PRP for vaginal rejuvenation by injecting it into the labia majora. PRP is prepared from your blood by a special process called as centrifugation and then injected. PRP is rich in growth factors promoting the tissue repair in the area of injection. PRP can be also used to enhance the clitoris area, such injection is commonly referred as ‘’O shot. We perform this treatment with a cannula after numbing the area with a local anesthetic gel and injection.
• Vaginal rejuvenation using fat injection: This procedure involves injecting your body fat into labia majora. This replaces the lost volume in this area and also helps to rejuvenate the area. We perform this treatment with a cannula after numbing the area with a local anesthetic gel and injection.
• Combination of the above methods; In some cases, we may have to combine PRP with Desirial dermal filler or the fat injections to achieve optimal effects.

What is the downtime?

Downtime is minimal. There can be discomfort, swelling, mild pain and discolouration in the area of injection for a few days.
